Avilon Zoo: MONTALBAN ZOOLOGICAL PARK

The Avalon Zoo in Rizal.  Day tour trip would be great enough to enjoy with your family, school trip and friends looking for nice fun bonding. It was last May 2009 when my friends invited me to come with them for a change of taking new photos collection in our bucket.

The Avilon Montalban Zoological Park is located at San Isidro, Montalban, Province of Rizal.

MONTALBAN ZOOLOGICAL PARK is a 7.5 hectare property which contains beautifully landscaped pocket gardens, four man-made lagoons, and more than 3,000 animals belonging to over 500 species.

The park opened to the public in the year 2003. The construction of the zoo began nine years ago, simultaneous with the acquisition of animals to be put on display. Most animals are from Asia, and Papua New Guinea.

Weather is so pleasant the time we reach the place.  Once we arrived,  I was hesitant at first because of huge green gate, and an "Avilon Zoo" sign wondering if I could really take photos of my interest. When we came in, we were greeted by a huge pond, and a very large arapaima (from the arowana family).  To my excitement I didnt notice that I was not tightly fix my filter in my lens reason that it suddenly dip in the pond.   I was mesmerized by the beauty of the pavillion's structure. On the left side was a pond full of large swans, oh they really provide a romantic ambiance.  We leave the place sunset which we we're able to take additional photos in the rice field outside the zoo park. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Public Transportation

From Cubao, take a Montalban jeep and you will pass through either Marikina or Commonwealth. The fare is Php 26.00.  The jeep will pass by Total Gas station. Ride a tricycle going in to Avilon Zoo for Php 30.00. Make arrangements to be picked up after a certain number of hours because it’s unlikely that a tricycle will pass by Avilon Zoo.

Weekends & Holidays     8:00 am to 6:00 pm
